WWE Crown Jewel Moved to a New Venue in Riyadh, With Full Refunds for Ticket Holders

Riyadh Season announced on X on Wednesday, October 28 that WWE Crown Jewel has been moved to a new venue, ten days before the show is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The announcement gave no reason for the change and did not name the replacement venue.

"We would like to inform you that WWE Crown Jewel has been moved to a new venue," Riyadh Season said in the post, published in Arabic and English. "All ticket holders will receive a full refund, and tickets will be re-released to everyone within the next 48 hours."

The show leaves its planned stadium

Crown Jewel, one of WWE's biggest events of the year, was scheduled for Saturday, November 7 at the Riyadh Season Stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District, known as KAFD. The stadium is a temporary venue built for the Riyadh Season festival. The November 7 date itself has not changed, and no part of the announcement suggested the show would leave Riyadh.

Ticket holders now wait for the new sale. Riyadh Season has not said whether the fans who bought tickets for the original stadium will get any priority when tickets are released again, so anyone who planned to attend has to buy again once the sale opens.

Reports point to Kingdom Arena

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported on Wednesday afternoon that the show is being moved to Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, while stressing that the plan held only "as of this hour." Forbes has also reported Kingdom Arena as the new venue, according to wrestling outlets that covered the Forbes report. WWE and Riyadh Season have not officially confirmed Kingdom Arena, and WWE had not commented publicly on the move as of Wednesday evening.

Kingdom Arena holds about 30,000 people and is a familiar building for WWE. The company staged its Night of Champions event there in June 2026, and the arena has hosted major boxing cards in Riyadh in recent years.

Staff learned of the move from the post

According to Fightful Select, people working at WWE headquarters learned about the venue change when Riyadh Season posted it on social media, and workers on site in Saudi Arabia indicated the show is expected to stay in Riyadh at a different building.

The announcement landed on the same day as a company-wide virtual town hall at TKO, the parent company of WWE and the UFC. PWInsider reported that TKO President and Chief Operating Officer Marc Shapiro told staff that the safety of everyone involved in the company's Middle East events was "paramount." The town hall took place before the Riyadh Season announcement, so the venue change was not discussed in the meeting.

The card stays as announced

Four matches are confirmed for Crown Jewel, according to SEScoops. Randy Orton faces Cody Rhodes in a Last Man Standing match. The Vision, Bron Breakker and Austin Theory, defend the WWE World Tag Team Titles against Penta and Je'Von Evans. Liv Morgan defends the Women's Crown Jewel Championship against Chelsea Green or Nikki Bella, and Roman Reigns defends the Men's Crown Jewel Championship against Sami Zayn or Trick Williams.

For now, the open questions are the venue and the reason. The answers are expected before tickets go back on sale within 48 hours of the announcement.
