Lazio beat Juventus 3-0 at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday night, a win built by two Danish scorers that lifts the Rome club level with Inter Milan at the top of Serie A.

Oliver Provstgaard headed the first goal in the 37th minute, Gustav Isaksen made it 2-0 in the 66th and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru ran from inside his own half to score the third in the 89th. Lazio have 19 points from seven matches. Juventus stay eighth on 11, and their home crowd jeered the team off at the end.

Danes do the damage

Juventus had the first big moment and lost it. Randal Kolo Muani volleyed home in the 24th minute, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Isaksen headed wide for Lazio on the half hour, and the opening goal came from the same side of the pitch eight minutes before half time.

Lazio worked a short corner on the left and Mattia Zaccagni crossed. Provstgaard used his height to glance the ball home from close range. It was the defender's first goal for the club. Nuno Tavares nearly doubled the lead six minutes later when his shot deflected off Gleison Bremer and looped onto the top of the crossbar.

Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti watched from the stands. He was serving a one match touchline ban after a red card against Cagliari last Sunday, and his assistant Marco Domenichini ran the bench.

Second half, same story

Nick Woltemade replaced Kerim Alajbegovic at half time as Juventus changed shape, and he put an early chance wide of the near post from a Kolo Muani cross. That miss cost the home side. In the 66th minute Tavares found Isaksen on the right. The winger collected the pass, shifted the ball onto his left foot and bent a low shot into the far corner.

Juventus pushed players forward and created little that troubled Christos Mandas. Francisco Conceicao curled a shot that the goalkeeper read easily, and Kolo Muani headed over from a Woltemade cross.

Dele-Bashiru, who had come on in the 69th minute, finished the game off. He started a counter attack inside his own half, drove into the box and slotted a low shot past Guglielmo Vicario.

What it means

Gennaro Gattuso is the first Lazio coach to win six of his first seven Serie A matches, with one draw alongside the wins. The club had not won a league game in Turin since October 2017.

Inter stayed level on points after their 3-1 comeback win over Bologna on Saturday, so the top of Serie A is shared after seven rounds. Lazio host Parma next. Juventus travel to Lecce, and Spalletti needs a result: his side has scored no goals in this game despite holding 58 percent of the possession.
