NVIDIA to Invest 3 Billion Dollars in Meta Equity Offering as Companies Expand Muse Partnership

Key points

  • NVIDIA will invest 3 billion dollars in Meta equity offering under an expanded partnership announced in a joint statement on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
  • The hardware list in the announcement is specific.
  • The companies are also considering collaboration on two named pieces of NVIDIA work for agents.

NVIDIA will invest 3 billion dollars in Meta equity offering under an expanded partnership announced in a joint statement on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The two companies said they will expand their collaboration on Muse and the Muse family of models, and Meta intends to expand its deployment of NVIDIA infrastructure for the next generation of AI agents.

The hardware list in the announcement is specific. Meta plans to deploy NVIDIA Vera Rubin and Vera central processing units, and will also deploy NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and BlueField-4. The expanded work covers joint optimization of training and inference performance for the Muse models, so the partnership reaches from the chips and networking inside the data center to the speed of the models that run on them.

Safe agent deployment

The companies are also considering collaboration on two named pieces of NVIDIA work for agents. One is the NVIDIA OpenShell reference architecture for safe agent deployment. The other is NVIDIA Sentry, for monitoring agent behavior. The joint statement presented both as areas the companies are considering, alongside the confirmed infrastructure deployment and the model work.

Jensen Huang, founder and chief executive officer of NVIDIA, said: "NVIDIA and Meta are expanding our partnership to optimize the computing infrastructure end to end for capable, efficient and secure AI agents, so Muse can empower billions of people to achieve more and pursue greater ambitions."

The offering NVIDIA is buying into

The investment sits inside a much larger Meta funding plan. Meta announced on Monday, October 26, a plan to raise up to 95 billion dollars in waves of stock offerings to fund AI infrastructure. The first wave is about 35 billion dollars, made up of 22.5 billion dollars of Class A common stock and 12.5 billion dollars of depositary shares. The common stock tranche was later upsized to 25 billion dollars. Class A shares priced at 625 dollars each and depositary shares priced at 50 dollars each. The NVIDIA commitment of 3 billion dollars is one named part of that raise, announced a day after the raise itself.

Orbit Post reported the Meta raise on October 26. This announcement adds a named buyer and a set of hardware and model terms that were not in the raise report, which is why it is published as its own story.

Market reaction

The market move on Tuesday morning was small. NVIDIA shares were up 0.1 percent in premarket trading on Tuesday, while Meta was broadly flat. Broadcom rose 1.2 percent in premarket trading. Broadcom and Advanced Micro Devices have also indicated interest in participating in Meta stock offering, according to the same reports. The flat reaction leaves the weight of the story on the terms themselves: a 3 billion dollar equity commitment, a wider NVIDIA hardware footprint inside Meta, and joint work on the Muse models and on tools for deploying and monitoring agents.
