Osasuna ended a six match winless run in La Liga on Sunday, beating Racing Santander 2-0 at El Sadar. Ante Budimir converted a penalty in the ninth minute, and Asier Osambela added a late second to lift the home side to ninth place.

Osasuna started fast. Jonathan Dubasin put the ball in the net from close range, but the goal was ruled out for offside after a video review. Minutes later Jeanuel Belocian fouled Budimir in the box, and the Croatian striker rolled in the penalty for his seventh goal of the season. Racing grew into the game but created little, finishing with one shot on target from nine attempts. Osasuna kept pushing and sealed the points in the 88th minute, when Osambela drove in the rebound after Julen Agirrezabala blocked a shot from Inigo Arguibide. It was his first goal of the season. Racing stay 16th, winless in four.

Sociedad score five at Malaga

Real Sociedad won 5-2 at La Rosaleda against bottom side Malaga. Sociedad led 2-0 at half time. Adrian Nino pulled one back for Malaga in the 54th minute, but Mikel Oyarzabal restored the two goal margin five minutes later, finishing a pass from Takefusa Kubo. Pablo Martinez made it 3-2 in the 66th minute, yet Oyarzabal answered again a minute later. Goncalo Guedes completed the scoring in the 73rd minute. Malaga remain at the foot of the table with four points.

Celta hold off Alaves

Celta Vigo beat Alaves 2-1 at Balaidos in a game the visitors controlled on the numbers. After a goalless first half, Ferran Jutgla broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute and Javi Rodriguez made it 2-0 with 19 minutes left. Hugo Novoa scored late for Alaves, who had 20 shots to Celta's six and nine shots on target to three, but still left with nothing. The win is only Celta's second in all competitions this season and moves them up to eighth, below Alaves on goals scored. Celta now travel to Celtic in the Europa League on Thursday.

Lecce deepen Udinese's crisis

Lecce won 3-0 at Udinese to hand the home side a fifth straight Serie A defeat. Kialonda Gaspar headed in a corner from Antonino Gallo in the 11th minute, his first goal in the Italian top flight. A second set piece brought the second goal in the 33rd minute, Gaspar heading the ball back across goal for Konan N'Dri to convert. Jamil Siebert finished a counter attack in the 86th minute. Udinese had 67 percent of the ball but only two shots on target. They sit 17th with four points from seven games, and reports in Italy say the club is now weighing the future of coach Kosta Runjaic. Lecce climb to 11th on nine points.

Hoffenheim leave Gladbach bottom

Hoffenheim won 2-1 at Borussia Monchengladbach to end a run of four straight defeats in all competitions. Bambase Conte opened the scoring in the 11th minute. Wael Mohya levelled for Gladbach four minutes after half time, but Alexander Prass put Hoffenheim back in front in the 54th minute from a long pass by Adam Hlozek. Gladbach pressed late and Moritz Nicolas made six saves at the other end, but the home side remain winless after six rounds and bottom of the Bundesliga. Hoffenheim climb from 17th to 14th.
