Teenager Alphadjo Cisse scored a hat-trick in 49 minutes on Thursday night as AC Milan won 4-0 away to RB Salzburg in the Europa League. The 19-year-old forward headed in the first goal after 15 minutes, added a second on 32 minutes and completed the treble four minutes after half time. Goncalo Ramos scored the fourth goal in the 72nd minute.

Opta figures reported after the match make Cisse the youngest Italian player to score a hat-trick in a major European club competition, at 19 years and 358 days. The treble is also the first by a Milan player in a European fixture since Filippo Inzaghi scored three against Deportivo La Coruna in 2002, 24 years ago. Milan finished the match with ten men after Filippo Terracciano was sent off late on for a professional foul.

The win was Milan's first of this Europa League campaign. Ruben Amorim's side had lost their opening match at home to Benfica. After the match, Amorim said Cisse deserved his playing time and his praise on the night, while adding that the teenager still had work to do in training and in matches.

Leverkusen and Benfica win 4-0 as well

Bayer Leverkusen made it two wins from two with a 4-0 win away to Lech Poznan in Poland, helped by two Patrik Schick penalties. Benfica beat Celtic 4-1 in Lisbon, a fourth defeat in five matches for Martin O'Neill's Celtic side.

Late winners for Juventus and Sunderland

Juventus came from a goal down to win 2-1 away to Celta Vigo. Hugo Alvarez put Celta ahead in the 18th minute. Nick Woltemade equalised for Juventus, and Randal Kolo Muani scored the winner in the 93rd minute.

Sunderland also won late, 2-1 away to Portuguese second tier side Torreense. Volnei Feltes put Torreense ahead in the 37th minute with a long range strike. Jules Ahoka levelled the score in the second half, and Noah Sadiki scored the winner in stoppage time.

Bournemouth win their first European home match

Bournemouth beat Sturm Graz 3-0 at the Vitality Stadium in the club's first ever European home match. Evanilson, Rayan and Alvaro Rodriguez scored the goals. Marco Rose's side have won both of their Europa League matches so far, after a 2-1 win away to Real Sociedad in the first round.

The third English side in the competition lost. Olympique Lyonnais beat Crystal Palace 3-2 in Lyon. Pavel Sulc scored Lyon's third goal to put the home side 3-1 up, and Daichi Kamada pulled one back for Palace eight minutes from the end.

Why the Cisse name is climbing

Searches for Alphadjo Cisse topped the United States trending list on Google on Friday morning, ahead of every other name in sport. A record set by a 19-year-old tends to travel that way. Milan's next Europa League match is away to Bournemouth on October 22, and Cisse now has five goals in his first seven games for the club this season.
