An overnight run of violence came first

The evening shootings followed an overnight stretch in which four separate shootings and stabbings across the city left four people hurt, two of them critically, according to the police account published by FOX 29 on Saturday morning.

That run began late on Friday night. At about 11:35 p.m., officers responding to a report of a person with a gun in the 500 block of South Salford Street in West Philadelphia found a 22 year old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the face. He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition. Investigators found a 2026 black Cadillac Escalade at the scene with multiple bullet holes and recovered two firearms there.

At about 3:15 a.m. on Saturday, officers were called to the 700 block of North 40th Street for a stabbing. Medics took an adult man to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition. At about 5:24 a.m., officers responded to Episcopal Hospital after a 20 year old man arrived with a gunshot graze wound to his left arm. The man told police the shooting happened on the 4000 block of Lancaster Avenue. He was transferred to Temple University Hospital and was expected to be released.

A second stabbing was reported at about 9:47 a.m. in North Philadelphia. Officers in the 2500 block of North 17th Street found a 43 year old man with a stab wound to the stomach. Police took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Police did not release the names of the victims in the overnight incidents, and no arrests were reported in any of those cases either.
