IEM Beijing Playoffs Set: The MongolZ Beat FURIA and NAVI Send Falcons Home

The playoff bracket at Intel Extreme Masters Beijing 2026 is set. The MongolZ beat world number one FURIA 2-1 on Wednesday to take a direct place in the semifinals, and Natus Vincere knocked Team Falcons out of the Counter-Strike 2 tournament with a 2-1 win in the Group A lower bracket final. The group stage closed on Wednesday at the arena in Beijing, and the quarterfinals follow on Friday.

The MongolZ end the FURIA run

FURIA opened the Group A upper bracket final by taking Inferno 13-10. The MongolZ answered on Cache, winning 13-8 on a map they had lost four straight times, and then closed the series on Dust II, 13-11. HLTV reported that the defeat ended a seven match winning run for FURIA, who had not lost since winning PGL Masters Bucharest. The loss was not an elimination. FURIA drop into the quarterfinals, while The MongolZ skip that round and wait in the semifinals.

NAVI send Falcons home

Falcons took the first map of the lower bracket final, Ancient, by 13-11. NAVI then took control of the series, winning Inferno 13-4 and Mirage 13-3. On the Mirage decider, NAVI won all 12 rounds of their T side half. W0nderful went 25 kills to 4 deaths on Inferno, and b1t finished the series with a 1.78 rating, according to HLTV figures reported by RG.org. RG.org reported that HLTV called the result Falcons' first group stage exit of the season on LAN. It comes weeks before Falcons defend their Major title in Singapore.

MOUZ and BETBOOM complete the bracket

MOUZ beat PARIVISION 2-0 in the Group B upper bracket final to take the second direct semifinal place, finishing the group stage without dropping a map. BETBOOM took the last quarterfinal spot, beating Team Liquid in the Group B lower bracket final after a 2-0 win over Aurora Gaming earlier in the bracket. PARIVISION, as Group B runners-up, meet NAVI in one quarterfinal, and FURIA face BETBOOM in the other.

What comes next

The quarterfinals are played on Friday, November 6, the semifinals on Saturday, November 7, and the grand final on Sunday, November 8. Playoff matches are best of three, and the grand final is a best of five. The tournament carries a 1.25 million dollar prize pool and is the last big Counter-Strike 2 event before the PGL Major Singapore opens on November 24. Six teams are left in Beijing, and two of the pre-tournament favorites, FURIA and NAVI, now have to win a quarterfinal just to reach the last four.
