United States spot Bitcoin exchange traded funds took in about $286 million over two days this week, a run of buying that nearly erased the fund group's net outflows for October and showed institutional demand returning after a sharp week of withdrawals.

The funds took in about $176 million on Tuesday, October 27, after about $110 million on Monday. The two day total of about $286 million comes from SoSoValue data reported by Cointelegraph and Farside Investors data reported by CoinDesk. This is a fund flow story, not a price note. The money moving into and out of regulated funds is one of the clearest public signals of how large investors are positioning.

October deficit nearly disappears

The inflows narrowed October net outflows to about $26 million. That is a sharp turn from the previous week, when about $774 million was withdrawn on Thursday and Friday alone. A month that looked set to close deep in the red is now close to flat, with year to date net inflows standing at roughly $850 million.

BlackRock's IBIT supplied most of Tuesday's inflow, at about $151.5 million. Fidelity's FBTC added about $24.5 million. The concentration matters. When the largest fund takes in most of the new money, it suggests buyers are choosing the deepest and most traded product first, rather than spreading orders evenly across the whole group of funds.

Ether funds go the other way

United States spot Ether exchange traded funds moved in the opposite direction. They recorded about $149 million of net outflows on Monday and Tuesday combined. October outflows for Ether funds reached $1.32 billion, on track for the largest monthly withdrawals since November 2025.

The contrast between the two groups is the central fact in this week's flows. Bitcoin funds are drawing money back after a heavy week of selling, while Ether funds continue to lose money at a pace that would set a monthly record for almost a year. Investors reading both sets of numbers see rotation and caution at the same time, not a uniform move into crypto funds.

Sentiment and price in the background

Bitcoin traded near $80,818 at Cointelegraph's publication time, up 1.6 percent in 24 hours per CoinGecko. The Crypto Fear and Greed Index rose to 51, a neutral reading, from 48 the day before. That is still below 63, a greed reading, from a week earlier.

Those numbers frame the flows without replacing them. Sentiment has recovered from fear to neutral, but it has not returned to last week's greed level, and the price gain over 24 hours was modest next to the size of the fund inflows. What happens next depends on whether the two day run extends. A third and fourth day of inflows would push October into positive territory and confirm that the previous week's $774 million of withdrawals was a brief exit. A return to outflows would leave both Bitcoin and Ether funds ending the month under pressure, with Ether already on course for its largest monthly withdrawals since November 2025.
