The 2026 World Series starts on Friday, October 23, and every game will begin at 8 p.m. Eastern on Fox. Major League Baseball released the start times on Friday, one day after the Milwaukee Brewers swept the Los Angeles Dodgers to win the National League pennant.

Milwaukee will host Games 1 and 2 at American Family Field. The series then moves to the home park of the American League champion for Games 3, 4 and 5, and returns to Milwaukee for Games 6 and 7 if they are needed. Game 7, if the series goes that far, is set for Saturday, October 31.

Who does Milwaukee play?

The Brewers still do not know their opponent. Cleveland leads Tampa Bay 2-1 in the American League Championship Series. Game 4 was rained out on Friday and will be played on Saturday, October 17 at 8 p.m. Eastern in Cleveland, with Game 5 on Sunday, October 18 at 5 p.m. Eastern. The Brewers get a full week between their pennant win and Game 1.

Milwaukee finished the regular season at 103-59, the best record in baseball, which is why the series opens and, if needed, closes in Wisconsin. This is the Brewers first World Series since 1982 and their first National League pennant. The club has never won the title.

A champion with no past title, whoever wins

None of the three teams left has a recent crown to defend. Tampa Bay has reached the World Series twice and lost both times. Cleveland last won the title in 1948, the longest active drought in the majors. Milwaukee has never won it. One long wait ends this October, and it ends no later than Halloween night.
