The Dallas Stars beat the San Jose Sharks 4-3 at American Airlines Center in Dallas on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Defenseman Thomas Harley scored one of the three Dallas power play goals in his first three point game of the season. He finished with a goal and two assists. Jake Oettinger made 20 saves for Dallas.

Power play decides it

Dallas went 3 for 5 on the power play. Roope Hintz had a goal and an assist, and Jamie Benn and Jason Robertson also scored for Dallas. Wyatt Johnston and Mikko Rantanen each had two assists.

San Jose scored first through Michael Misa. Dallas answered with three straight goals later in the first period to take control of the game. Harley then put Dallas ahead 4-2 at 14:30 of the second period.

Will Smith pulled San Jose within 4-3 with a 5 on 3 goal about two and a half minutes after the Harley goal. There was no scoring in the third period, and Dallas held the one goal lead to the final horn.

Sharks lose a fifth straight

Michael Misa, rookie Ivar Stenberg and Will Smith scored for San Jose. Macklin Celebrini assisted on all three Sharks goals. It was his fourth three point game of the season. Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 26 shots.

San Jose lost its fifth straight game, all of them in regulation. The Sharks were swept in a road back to back after losing at Minnesota on Friday night.

Benn closes on 1,000

Benn now has 999 career points. His 18 NHL seasons have all been played with Dallas. The Stars are 10-0-1 against the Sharks dating to March 2024. Dallas is 3-0-1 in its last four games and began a four game homestand with this win.

Dallas played without defenseman Miro Heiskanen. He missed his second straight game with an upper body injury. Even without him, the Stars got three points from Harley on the blue line, two assists each from Johnston and Rantanen, and enough power play goals to beat a Sharks team that got three assists from Celebrini and stayed close until the end. Dallas scored four times in the first two periods and then protected the lead through a scoreless third period to open the homestand with a win.
