FaZe Clan and G2 Esports Eliminated on Day Two at IEM Beijing 2026

Four teams are out of Intel Extreme Masters Beijing 2026 after the second day of group play on Tuesday. Legacy, FaZe Clan, 9z Team and G2 Esports were eliminated from the $1.25 million Counter-Strike 2 tournament, the first four teams sent home from the event.

Group A sends Legacy and FaZe home

In Group A, B8 knocked out Legacy in a lower bracket quarterfinal, and Team Falcons ousted FaZe Clan. Both series went the full three maps and ended 2-1.

At the top of the group, The MongolZ and FURIA advanced to the upper bracket final. The MongolZ swept HEROIC, taking Inferno 13-7 and Nuke 19-17 in overtime. FURIA came back against Natus Vincere, dropping Ancient 16-12 before winning Nuke 16-12 and Cache 13-10.

Group B ends for 9z and G2

In Group B, TYLOO swept 9z Team in a lower bracket quarterfinal, and Aurora Gaming eliminated G2 Esports with a 2-1 win.

MOUZ and PARIVISION moved into the Group B upper bracket final. MOUZ swept BetBoom Team, winning Ancient 13-6 and Mirage 16-14. PARIVISION swept Team Liquid, winning Ancient 13-7 and Inferno 13-9.

Three of the four elimination series went to a deciding third map. Only TYLOO finished the job in two maps, sweeping 9z. B8, Team Falcons and Aurora Gaming each needed three maps to close out Legacy, FaZe Clan and G2 Esports.

The four eliminated teams finish in 13th to 16th place. Each receives $4,000 under the prize breakdown reported for the event.

There is no way back from a lower bracket loss at this stage. FaZe Clan fell to Team Falcons in Group A, and G2 Esports fell to Aurora Gaming in Group B, and both results closed out the lower bracket quarterfinals in their groups on Tuesday.

The road to Sunday

The double elimination group stage runs through Wednesday, and every match is a best of three. Group winners go straight to the playoff semifinals. Runners-up enter the quarterfinals as high seeds, and third place teams enter as low seeds.

The single elimination playoffs start on Friday. Playoff matches are best of three until the grand final on Sunday, which is a best of five.

Wednesday closes the group stage. The MongolZ meet FURIA in the Group A upper bracket final, while Natus Vincere play B8 and HEROIC play Team Falcons in the Group A lower bracket semifinals. In Group B, MOUZ face PARIVISION in the upper bracket final, and Team Liquid play TYLOO while BetBoom Team play Aurora Gaming in the lower bracket semifinals.

Twelve teams are still alive in Beijing. By Wednesday night, the full playoff bracket will be set.
