Fnatic parted ways with Turkish Valorant player Emir Ali "Alfajer" Beder on November 5, 2026, ending a spell of more than four years with the European organisation. Fnatic announced the departure on X alongside a farewell video.

Alfajer won two international titles with Fnatic and leaves at 21, after a 2026 season in which the team failed to qualify for a single international event. His next destination has not been officially announced.

Fnatic marked the exit with a message to a player who arrived as a prospect and left with trophies. "You joined a teenager, eager to play - hungry to win. You leave a champion, an icon, a friend and forever part of this family," the club said in its farewell message.

Alfajer also looked back on how young he was when the run began. "I started this adventure at the age of 16, and now I am 21 years old," he said.

From Surreal Esports to two titles in 2023

Alfajer joined Fnatic on May 9, 2022, at just 16 years old, after playing for Surreal Esports. He grew into a first team regular while still a teenager, and his strongest year came one season later.

In 2023 Fnatic won VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo and Masters Tokyo with Alfajer on the roster. In the LOCK//IN grand final, Fnatic beat LOUD 3-2 after trailing 3-11 on the decider map, a comeback that set the tone for the rest of that year.

Fnatic kept faith with the roster. In February 2024 the club extended Alfajer's contract through 2026, a deal that covered the rest of his time with the team.

His individual level held up even when results fell away. At VCT EMEA Kickoff, Alfajer recorded 78 kills in a best-of-three series against FUT Esports, setting a VCT EMEA record.

A hard 2026 season and a wider rebuild

The final season brought no international stage. In 2026 Fnatic finished fourth at VCT EMEA Kickoff, placed in the top six in Stage 1, and was eliminated in the Stage 2 Play-Ins in 11th to 12th place.

Fnatic missed Valorant Champions for the first time in its history and ended the season without attending a single international tournament. For a roster built around the 2023 titles, that drop brought a clear reset.

Alfajer's exit is part of that reset. It came a day after Fnatic parted ways with Austin "crashies" Roberts. Fnatic has also parted ways with Sylvain "Veqaj" Pattyn, along with members of its coaching staff, as part of a wider rebuild ahead of the 2027 Valorant Champions Tour season. Kaajak and Cloud are expected to remain.

What comes next is reported, not confirmed

No club has announced Alfajer as a signing, and Fnatic did not name a next team in its farewell.

Reports have linked him with a move. According to Alejandro "Anonimotum" Gomis and other journalists at Sheep Esports, Alfajer has reached a verbal agreement to join Gentle Mates for the 2027 VCT EMEA season. That move is reported only. It has not been officially announced, and it should not be read as a done deal.

What is confirmed is the record he leaves behind: more than four years, two international titles, a contract extension earned in 2024, and an EMEA kills record set in a single best-of-three series.
