Green ejected early in the second half

Draymond Green was ejected early in the second half. Officials gave him two technical fouls on one play: one for what officials termed his throwdown of Phoenix center Khaman Maluach, and a double technical shared with Devin Booker for the scrum that followed. It was Green's first ejection of the season and the 26th of his career. He finished with 4 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 17 minutes. Returns, an injury, and the records

Curry and Green had both sat out the Warriors win over the Clippers on Sunday, the first night of a home back to back, and both returned for this game. Phoenix lost Jordan Goodwin in the second quarter. Goodwin left the game with a right calf injury and did not return. The win took Golden State to 5-3, and Phoenix fell to 1-4. Golden State's win rested on the third quarter: 42 points in twelve minutes wiped out the Phoenix lead, and the Warriors then held on through a close fourth quarter to win by three.
