Los Angeles, California: Man Arrested on Suspicion of Felony Stalking at LeBron James' Brentwood Home

LOS ANGELES, California (Orbit Post) A man was arrested on Friday night at the Brentwood home of LeBron James and booked on suspicion of stalking, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed on Saturday.

Officers responded at 9:39 p.m. on Friday to a call to investigate a possible burglary on James' property, an LAPD spokesperson told ESPN. A suspect was apprehended at the residence, taken into custody and booked for stalking, the spokesperson said.

The call on North Tigertail Road

MyNewsLA, citing Officer Norma Eisenman of the LAPD Media Relations Division, said officers were dispatched at 9:40 p.m. on Friday to a 'burglary suspect' call in the 500 block of North Tigertail Road in Brentwood. The man was taken into custody there and arrested on suspicion of felony stalking, Eisenman said.

Police would not confirm that the home was owned by James, MyNewsLA reported. TMZ, citing law enforcement sources, reported that security staff at the home spotted the man on surveillance cameras and contacted police. TMZ also reported that the man told officers he believed he was James' son, and that he never entered the house.

The Score, reporting the same police account through ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin, also reported the 9:39 p.m. call, the man found at the residence and the stalking booking. Neither the ESPN report nor the MyNewsLA report named the man, and police released no age or other identifying detail for him in those reports. No report said anyone was hurt.

James was in Cleveland

James, 41, was not in Los Angeles on Friday night. He was in Cleveland with the Philadelphia 76ers for their game against the Cavaliers, ESPN reported. The 76ers lost 119 to 95 to his former team.

James signed with Philadelphia in the offseason after playing for the Los Angeles Lakers from 2018 to 2026, MyNewsLA noted. The Brentwood house is the property named in the reports of Friday night's arrest, and it stayed in the reports even though James now plays on the East Coast.

A representative for James had no comment about the incident, ESPN said.

What police have not said

Police have not said, in the reports published on Saturday, whether officers had been called to the property before Friday night, or what court step comes next after the stalking booking. The LAPD account carried by ESPN and the account carried by MyNewsLA agree on the core facts: a Friday night call about a possible burglary, a man found at the residence, an arrest at the scene and a booking for stalking.

This story will be updated if police release the man's name through official channels or if charges are filed in court.
