El Paso gets the biggest fight of Stephanie Han's career on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2027, when the hometown WBA lightweight champion meets WBC and WBO champion Caroline Dubois in a three belt unification at GECU Arena at the Don Haskins Center, Most Valuable Promotions announced on Friday.
Han is 13-0 with three knockouts. Dubois, fighting out of London, is 14-0-1 with five knockouts and also holds The Ring lightweight title. The winner leaves El Paso with the WBA, WBC and WBO belts. The fight is a unification, not an undisputed title fight, because the IBF belt is not on the line.
The card, billed as MVPW-09, will air live on Sky Sports in prime time in the United Kingdom and on the ESPN App in the United States. Public ticket sales begin Thursday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m. Mountain Time on Ticketmaster. The promoter has not yet announced the rest of the card.
Han's road home
Han, an El Paso native, mother of two and El Paso Police Department veteran, won the vacant WBA title with a first round knockout of Hannah Terlep in El Paso in February 2025. She has defended it three times since, including back to back wins over former champion Holly Holm, the second of them in front of her hometown fans on May 30.
"This fight is a dream come true. Finally, I have the opportunity to unify titles in my division and get one step closer to becoming the undisputed queen of the lightweight division! To be able to fight at home at GECU Arena at the Don Haskins Center is incredibly special, and I'm grateful to MVP for their support to make this happen," Han said.
Dubois comes to take the third belt
Dubois, a southpaw known as Sweet Caroline, won gold at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games and boxed for Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympics before turning professional in 2022. She unified the WBC and WBO titles by beating Terri Harper in April 2026 and defended them against Amelia Moore in August.
"I can't wait to get back in the ring and I can't wait to go into Stephanie Han's hometown and add another world title to my collection. I respect what she's accomplished, but I'm coming to El Paso to take her title and show everyone why I'm the best lightweight in the world. I want all the belts, I want the biggest fights, and I want to prove myself against the best," Dubois said.
MVP chief executive Nakisa Bidarian said El Paso had earned the fight. "Stephanie's story is remarkable. She's a police officer, a mother, a former beauty queen and a world champion who has become a source of pride for El Paso. El Paso has shown up for its hometown hero time and time again, so we owed it to this city to bring one of the biggest fights in boxing to GECU Arena at the Don Haskins Center," Bidarian said.
The two champions were set to face off for the first time on Friday at Texas Live! in Arlington, during fight week for Sunday's MVPW-07 card at College Park Center. The Feb. 20 main card will be made up entirely of women's championship fights, the promoter said, with the full card to come in the next few weeks.
