Boise State beat Colorado State 64-38 on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Broncos scored touchdowns on their first four drives and never let the Rams back into the game. Boise State improved to 8-1 overall and 5-0 in the Pac-12. Colorado State fell to 3-6 overall and 1-4 in the conference. Sports Illustrated and The Coloradoan reported the final score and the statistics.

The game tilted on the second play. Backup quarterback Max Cutforth floated a swing pass to running back Dylan Riley, who was alone in the flat and ran 73 yards for a touchdown. Riley kept scoring. He broke a 42-yard touchdown run on fourth and one, then added a 31-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. After that last score he struck a Heisman pose in the end zone, The Coloradoan reported.

Riley carries the offense

Riley carried 19 times for 192 yards and two touchdowns. He caught two passes for 88 yards and one more touchdown. His total came to 280 yards of offense in one night. Sports Illustrated reported that Riley is the leading rusher in the country, with 1,241 yards through nine games. Colorado State had no answer for him at any point. The Broncos finished with 669 yards of offense. That is the fifth highest total Colorado State has allowed in a game in program history, according to Sports Illustrated and The Coloradoan.

Cutforth answers his test

Cutforth started in place of Maddux Madsen, who was out with an injury. He completed 16 of 19 passes for 317 yards, with four touchdowns and no turnovers. He also ran for a touchdown of his own. A week earlier, Cutforth had come in and sparked a 46-45 comeback win over Texas State. This time he owned the game from the first drive. Boise State put up touchdowns on its first four possessions and built a lead the Rams could not chase.

Colorado State scored 38 points and still lost by 26. The Rams gave up more than 60 points for the second time this season. Their defense could not get Boise State off the field, and the early hole forced them to chase the game for three quarters.

The win was the eighth straight for Boise State, which is ranked No. 25 in the College Football Playoff rankings. The Coloradoan reported that the Broncos stay in control of their path to a playoff spot with the win. Boise State plays Oregon State at home on Saturday, November 14, 2026. Colorado State plays at Washington State the same day.
